Privacy Policy
Effective August 29, 2026
Is Really Amazing is operated by Embay, LLC. It sells personalized web addresses ("handles") and runs a public leaderboard. This policy describes what the app and this website actually collect, which is very little, and what happens to it.
What we collect
- Game Center identity. The app signs you in with Apple's Game Center. We receive your Game Center player identifier (an app-scoped ID Apple generates for this game) and your Game Center display name. There are no accounts, no passwords, no email sign-up, and no user-entered text anywhere in the app.
- Purchase records. All purchases are made through Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details. After a purchase, our server verifies the transaction directly with Apple and records the transaction identifier, product, amount, and timestamp in a ledger tied to your player identifier. That ledger is what computes your rank.
- Your handle and where it points. If you buy a handle, we store the name you chose, the destination URL you set, and a count of the visits the address has forwarded. The name and the destination are public by nature - anyone visiting the address sees where it goes. The visit counter is a single running total, not a list: we do not record who followed a handle, we set no cookies on it, and neither you nor we can see individual visitors. (Cloudflare's ordinary request logs still apply, as described above.)
- Operational data. Our servers run on Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and standard request logs to deliver the service, as any web host does. We do not build profiles from them.
- Anonymous analytics and crash reports. We use Firebase (a Google service) for crash reporting and basic app usage analytics - which screens are used, whether a purchase completed - so we can find bugs and see what's working. This does not use an advertising identifier and does not track you across other apps or websites. In the EU, UK, and Switzerland, both are off until you allow them (you're asked on first launch); everywhere else, crash reporting is on by default and usage analytics turns on automatically. You can turn either off anytime in Settings.
What we do not collect
No advertising SDKs, no tracking across apps or websites, no advertising identifier, no location, no contacts, no photos, no device fingerprinting. The app asks for no permissions.
What is public
The game is a public leaderboard. Your Game Center display name, your rank, and your season total are visible to anyone in the app and on this website. That visibility is the product. Each season's final board is archived and remains publicly visible after the season ends.
Refunds and corrections
Refunds are handled by Apple. When Apple notifies us of a refund, the refunded amount is deducted from your season total and your rank recalculates.
Your choices
- Analytics and crash reporting can be turned off anytime in the app's Settings screen ("Share anonymous usage data"). This never affects the Game Center identity or purchase records the game itself needs to work.
- Your display name comes from Game Center; you can change it in your Apple account settings and the board follows.
- If you want your name hidden from the public board or its archives, email support@isreallyamazing.com from any address and identify your entry; we will anonymize it. The underlying purchase ledger is retained as required for accounting and fraud prevention.
Children
The game involves real-money purchases and is not directed at children. Purchases are controlled by Apple's account protections, including Ask to Buy for family accounts.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
